What are the different types of braces?

There are three different types of braces: traditional metal braces, clear plastic braces, and invisible braces.

Traditional metal braces are the most common type and come in two varieties: open or closed. Open braces allow teeth to move slightly forward and backward, while closed braces restrict movement to the front and back. Click here,If you’re interested in learning more about Braces.

Clear plastic braces are typically smaller than metal braces and are made of a transparent material that can be seen through. They don't require any dental work to be done in order to wear them; they're simply placed on top of your teeth.

Invisible braces use a small amount of dental adhesive to attach a bracket to your teeth. The bracket is then custom-made to your dentist's specifications and worn for approximately two years.

What are the benefits of braces?

There are many benefits of braces, both short- and long-term. Here are some of the most common:

1. Improved appearance. With proper orthodontic treatment, braces can help improve your smile’s overall appearance. The alignment of your teeth will be more accurate, and you’ll look more confident!

2. Improved oral health. Braces can help to correct misaligned teeth and promote better oral hygiene habits. Not to mention, a healthy mouth is key for preventing tooth decay and other dental problems down the line.

3. Increased chewing ability. Your jaw muscles will be strengthened as a result of wearing braces, which can lead to an improvement in your chewing ability.

4. Reduced anxiety and stress levels. When you have good oral health and an attractive smile, it can reduce your anxiety and stress levels overall – making life easier in general!
