Small businesses play an important role in the growth of the economy. However, implementing new and improved technology is a major challenge for many small and medium-sized businesses. 

With the increasing awareness and rapid growth of technology, many SMB companies today are looking to adopt new technologies. According to the annual technology trends survey for SMB solutions, about 80% of SMBs are interested in focusing on implementing new technology solutions.

The introduction of information and communication technology (ICT) is seen as a key factor in increasing the productivity growth of small and medium enterprises. Some SMBs use ICT technology with the Internet to facilitate commerce. It can also be used to promote products and services online.  

Virtualization – The survey shows that 37% of respondents prefer to use serious virtualization in the next 12 months. Virtualization is nothing more than creating a virtual version of a hardware platform, operating system, network resource, or storage device. 

Integrated Communication – Integrated Communication helps SMBs maintain appropriate customer contact. About 25% of SMBs are involved in the introduction of Voice-over-IP solutions for Integrated Communications. 

It can be concluded that SMBs are happy to use new technology for their growth and development. ICT technology serves as a tool to improve the marketing aspects of SMBs. Most SMBs are interested in applications such as increased mobility and virtualization solutions.
